What are customers saying about the WORX WG650 18-Inch 13 Amp Electric Snow Thrower

The WORX WG650 is rated at 4.5 out of 5 at Amazon. We found about 30 reviews online for the WORX WG650 18-Inch 13 Amp Electric Snow Thrower and most of the reviewers that we found gave this product extremely high marks.

It is a quiet, small, lightweight, well-built, incredibly powerful machine. Even though it is small it has a large ejection chute which helps a lot but does not totally prevent clogging of slushy snow, but a negligible aspect which can be dealt with easily. On the other hand another customer reviewing the snow thrower had this to say,”I took out some relatively deep 3 foot drifts with this, that I would have doubted it could handle before I used it.

I also used it clear out the driveway after it had been plowed back in. That was more slushy and wet and while it obviously does not throw such slush that far, it still did its job and did not clog.”

One reviewer was of the opinion that even though it was lightweight it threw snow an adequate distance. He has had experience with 3 other brands before and rates this as the best out of the 4.

It is quieter than gas snow throwers and would probably sound as loud as a vacuum.

Incidentally, quite a few of the reviewers were of the opinion that even though it was a small unit it worked very well and it was a breeze to assemble. Assembling the WORX WG650 with the provided pair of tools will take about 15 minutes.

Many concerns were with the electric cord being problematic. If you follow the handling suggestions in the manual you will have not an issue at all. It is as easy as maneuvering a vacuum cleaner.

One customer looking to buy a snow thrower opted for the electric snow thrower as against the gas snow throwers. Gas snow throwers are more expensive, rather loud, require gas and oil, spark plugs and tune ups. Electric snow throwers are maintenance free, easy to start, reliable and quiet.

It has dealt well with uneven sidewalks with no trouble and how close you want to clear to the ground can be controlled by tipping the snow thrower forward as you push it along.

Most reviewers were actually waiting for some snow so that they could have fun using the snow thrower.

There were quite a few complaints from reviewers about the bar that turns the chute around coming out of the pivot it is inserted into. This is not a flaw in the machine but this happens if not assembled properly. If they had followed the directions which are given as an insert in the manual which warns and illustrates how to properly assemble the handle bar so that the chute crank mounts and functions correctly this would not have happened.

Based on most of the reviews the WORX WG650 18-Inch 13 Amp Electric Snow Thrower performs way beyond expectations for its size and power rating and is thus been highly recommended as a good buy.
